Summer Parkins Davis MSW, LCSW (She/Her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of North Carolina.
As a therapist, she strives to support those who are working toward recovery from trauma. She works with clients who have experienced a variety of traumas including sexual assault, accidents, interpersonal violence, arrests/incarceration, abuse and neglect in childhood, etc. Common goals in her work are eliminating unhelpful thinking, eradicating feelings of guilt and shame, enhancing future safety, increasing self-esteem, and improving self- advocacy skills.

In your sessions, you will work together to unravel negative cognitions and replace them with healthier ones regarding your experiences and future. This is often done through Cognitive Processing Therapy, but she is also happy to utilize a person-centered approach. Your sessions together will include empowerment, empathy, and gentle challenging where appropriate
